DUE TO COMMENCE LATE OCTOBER / EARLY NOVEMBER Summer kiwifruit orchard workers are required on a fixed term basis in the Te Puke area. Duties include flower thinning, bud thinning, fruit thinning, crush tipping, male pruning and summer pruning, fruit harvest. You will be on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time. This work is weather dependant with up to 5 to 6 days of work available. Closed footwear must be worn on orchard – gumboots and sneakers are suitable. Tools are provided by the employer. On-the-job training is provided. You will work in a team, under a Supervisor and/or Manager. Tools are provided by the employer.

Transport may be available from Te Puke central or Pukehina area for a weekly fee of $50.00.

You will be required to have secured accommodation within daily distance to the Te Puke area prior to applying.

Job Requirements

Minimum restricted driver license required if driving self Must be Drug and Alcohol free Criminal convictions case by case depending on conviction type - MOJ check required Experience preferred but not essential Must be able to get to work in the Te Puke area-various locations Must be reliable
