Team Support Worker

We are looking for a versatile person, who will support our team in a variety of mahi: ● Work with our team to deliver various youth development programmes and projects ● Work with our Youth Coaches to support NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) clients with mentoring, guidance and pathway planning ● Support our Youth Council Coordinator to facilitate weekly meetings, plan events and grow youth leadership This position may suit a person new to community or youth work. It is intended as a support role, working alongside other team members. It is anticipated that over time, this may develop into a role with individual responsibilities and leadership. There is an expectation that you commit to external training opportunities, as negotiated.

Support safe delivery of weekly developmental, activity based programmes and services. ● Help organise and deliver positive youth development opportunities for low-medium at-risk young people as per MYD contract ● To develop strong, strength based youth and whanau relationships. ● To assist coordinate any wider community events that young people may be involved with ● To work with youth to create safe youth spaces in Kaikoura.
