Onboard Services Lead

This role is a combination of Train Guard and Locomotive Assistant. Your duties will include boarding passengers, ensuring safe movement of trains from departure to arrival, working alongside the Locomotive Engineer and following operational protocols. As the main contact for passengers the company is looking for someone who is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. You will help passengers connect with Dunedin's rich heritage and landscapes While supporting the Locomotive Engineer you may be involved in moving carriages, communicating with the driver and co-ordinating movements on the ground. You will prioritise passenger wellbeing, complete work logs and comply with all relevant mechanical, operational, and safety procedures.

Job Requirements
Excellent communicator Responsible Leadership skills Health and Safety conscious Practical hands-on ability, mechanically minded Available to undergo training Must be able to pass a police and drug test and a basic pre-employment medical Must be available flexible hours including days, nights and weekends. Throughout busy part of the season hours can be fulltime.
