About this job

An Employment Consultant is required for a community based employer in Central Auckland.Taking a practical, holistic approach to employment and wellbeing, our employment consultants work with people with experience of mental health issues to find and keep employment. Employment consultants work alongside people and their whanau, who have a range of backgrounds, cultures and experiences. This requires quality interactions and engagement to support people to connect with employers, whanau, health and welfare providers, and communities. Cultural competence is essential in these roles. Successful employment consultants have the following skill sets but not limited to: Ability to build relationships and achieve results, ability to think quickly and problem-solve effectively, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Job Requirements

Experience working in the social service, addiction, youth, mental health, disability, employment or other sectors that focus on improving peoples lives is an advantage. Health Mandated to be Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19-2 injections and at least 1 of the Boosters Full Class 1 Drivers license Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check Permanent NZ Residency Must have NZ Level 4 Certificate in Health and Well Being or recognised equivalent.

Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm (40 hours per week)
