Supported Living helps people build their independence and live great lives. As a Supported Independent Living Community Support Worker, you’ll work closely with the person we support to help them achieve their personal goals and aspirations, as outlined in their support plan.
Your Role Includes:
- Providing safe, person-centred support that aligns with our values, policies, and legal/ethical guidelines. - Supporting people to live good lives by helping them make informed decisions based on their individual plans, with a strong focus on their voice and choice. - Attending staff meetings to stay informed, contribute to team discussions, and help shape support decisions. - Reporting any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of the people we support to the Service Coordinator or Service Manager promptly.
Skills and Experience:
- Lived, or work experience caring for others - A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kind - Fun, laughter and enjoys outdoor activities and adventures - Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach energy, enthusiasm and flexibility in your approach - Cultural awareness - The ability to undertake personal cares when required
Job Requirements
Full NZ Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle – current warrant and registration A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or commitment to working towards a qualification Must be able to pass Ministry of Justice check and Drug test
