Nationwide employer need On Farm Assists to join their team to provide excellent support to their farmer customers. This is a great opportunity to join a progressive organisation driving the future of dairy in NZ. This is seasonal work that will be running from approximately July 2025 till May 2026. Positions are based in New Plymouth, Inglewood and Oakura.
On Farm Assists travel to and from dairy farms throughout the region to provide farmers with much-needed support on farm. No two days will be the same - you will assist with a range of different on-farm activities such as: • Herd Test support during milking • DNA sampling • Herd audits and weighing animals - just to name a few
You will need to be flexible with your working hours as there will be early mornings and split shifts. Field roles work 6 days per week, Sunday to Friday with a guarantee of 20 minimum hours per week. Hourly rate is dependent on experience. A schedule will be emailed out each week. The employer will supply clothing, phone, and inhouse training.

Job Requirements
• Must have a full licence and own car • Be physically fit and active • Must pass a MOJ check and drugs test • You're an early morning person and can work flexible hours (mornings and afternoons) • Own vehicle is a must. (Employer will subsidise per kilometre for travel) • Must have some previous experience on a farm
