Our employer is a trusted provider of Residential Aged Care Facilities across New Zealand, committed to enriching the lives of those who call our facilities home. They take pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care that supports the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of their residents. We are seeking a casual cook to provide a nutritious meal service for 70 residents and manage a kitchen that meets all food hygiene standards.

Key Tasks: Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and duty descriptions. Manage daily kitchen operations and maintain high food service standards. Prepare nutritious, budget-conscious meals in consultation with dieticians. Ensure a pleasant dining experience for residents. Report issues to the Kitchen or Facility Manager and liaise with suppliers as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report malfunctions. Respect residents' rights and promptly report concerns to the Registered Nurse. Support a safe, caring, and hygienic environment for residents and staff. Follow emergency and infection control procedures. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and attend relevant meetings.

Strong cooking skills with the confidence to manage meal service independently. You will have a high standard of personal presentation with strong communications skills. You will be a team player, have a fun loving personality with a positive empathetic and caring attitude You must also be able to pass a police security check.
