Grader Operator/ Heavy Machine Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Grader / Heavy Machine Operator to join our client’s civil construction team in Queenstown. Our client is a leader in New Zealand’s infrastructure sector, delivering projects across road construction, earthworks, drainage, subdivisions, bridges, and large-scale national projects. You will play a key role in various civil infrastructure and roading projects across the region. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, takes pride in their craft, and is willing to work hard alongside the team while keeping a humble attitude.

Responsibilities: - Operate grader and other plant machinery as required. - Grade to final trim with precision. - Assist with general labouring duties when needed. - Operate machinery safely, following manufacturer instructions. - Perform weekly prestart inspections of plant and machinery (greasing, cleaning, maintenance). - Complete a variety of civil engineering tasks. - Assess hazards and initiate safety solutions.

- Full, clean Class 1 license - WTR endorsements - Proven experience as a Grader Operator on civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, ports, airports). - A strong work ethic with a willingness to pitch in wherever necessary. - Commitment to workplace safety for yourself and others. - SiteSafe or Construct Safe certificate (or the ability to obtain). - Passionate about your work and take pride in delivering high-quality results. - Physically fit and capable of performing the duties required. - Flexibility to travel within the region for various projects.
