(Experienced) Civil Heavy Machine Operator

Are you an experienced heavy machinery operator looking to join a respected, forward-thinking civil construction team? We're looking for motivated and reliable operators to work across various civil sites throughout Whangarei and the surrounding regions.

About the Role: As a heavy machinery operator, you’ll be responsible for operating heavy excavation plant and equipment to excavate, move, and load earth, rock, and rubble. You’ll also undertake finishing works to a high standard and ensure mobile plant and equipment are used and maintained safely. Working around services and completing works to industry best practices and agreed specifications is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery in a civil construction setting. Conduct finishing works to a high standard. Maintain equipment and ensure all operations are performed safely and efficiently. Work in and around existing services. Meet productivity targets while maintaining quality and adherence to standards and regulations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience operating machinery in civil construction. Proven experience with earthworks, excavator, moxys, rollers, and track/wheel-based machinery. Clean Full Class 1 Licence (Class 2 or 4). Wheel, Tracks, Rollers Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test (random ongoing testing also applies). Strong team player with a safety-first attitude.
