Retail Assistant

At this busy store, the duties include:

• Support the store manager with an array of operational tasks and projects, including stock ordering, stock takes, banking, cash handling, merchandising, and much more • Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards • Opening and closing of premises and associated security • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. • Be courageous with being bold, innovative and not afraid to take on any aspect of the role • A self-starter capable of working well by yourself on solo shifts and staying motivated • Handling the cash counter & invoice the customers for the goods purchased. • Listening to customers’ complaints & forwarding it to the management to address it in a professional manner • Able to Fry and serve chicken and chips to customers (when required) • Able to make and serve coffee to customers (when required)

• A non-smoker is preferred • Able to do heavy lifting of boxes (up to 25 kg) • Basic numeracy skills require to handle and return cash at the counter • Must have no serious criminal convictions • Available to work on weekends, and public holidays • Have prior sales experience in a similar retail environment (preferred but not essential). • You will need your own a car as there is no public transportation after 7pm on Monday - Saturday and no public transport on Sunday
