Kiln and Furnace Building Assistant

We are looking for someone to join our small team as a Kiln and Furnace Building assistant. This is a full-time position and you will be assisting us in the construction and maintenance of our industrial kilns and furnaces.

You will be assisting in the manufacturing, assembly, servicing and repair of our industrial kilns and furnaces. You will collaborate with the production team in producing kilns and furnaces. You will assist in the manufacturing of pottery and glass shaping tools. You will adhere to all health and safety and environment regulations.

Must have be able to pass an with a clean MOJ check. Must have a clean driver licences. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions Excellent eye for detail and a desire to seek perfection in every task completed Self-motivated and excellent time management to seek out new tasks to complete each day Great communication skills and a desire to ensure clear communication is always maintained in production Physically fit and able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours a day Familiarity and safe use of power tools, welding, grinding, drilling and a willingness to learn new techniques Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a small team Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and reducing risks Familiarity with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment, such as kilns and furnaces Brick handling, including grading, shaping, cutting, and mortaring Handling of insulation materials such as Fibre glass, Ceramic fibre, and ceramic Fibre Board Experience with electrical circuits and componentry and the installation of.
