Grocery Assistants

Seeking Grocery Assistants for a local South Auckland food store. Duties will include: • Determine customer requirements and advise on product range and price • handling checkouts: • Preparing sales invoices and accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods. • Assisting with the ongoing management of stock such as product inventories and participating in stocktakes • Demonstrating and explaining to customers goods and services • You will also be responsible for ensuring the grocery area is clean and tidy • To verify and check that received inward goods match documentation. • To report and follow up on any variations between documentation and inward goods. • To fill grocery shelves and displays as required. • To re-stack and organize stock within the storeroom. • To break down bulk orders and reorganize them as appropriate for immediate shelf filling, later filling or storage. • Other duties that may be allocated as required.
You need to be available 24-7 Monday to Sunday, to work rostered shifts as the shop is open 24 hours. Hours are a minimum of 30 hours a week but can be more hours depending on the requirement at the time. Job Requirements
Able to pass pre-employment checks such as a medical if required, drug test and MOJ check. Reliable and flexible with hours; punctual to work. Good positive attitude that can add value to the job. Gets along with others and works well in a team or solo. Attention to detail ensuring the smooth running and completion of work tasks.
