Class 5 Truck Driver
About this job
A heavy truck driver is required in Auckland for a Christchurch based company. You need to be comfortable driving a manual 18-gear Caterpillar Road Ranger tipper truck with trailer. The truck depot is in Takanini and you will be travelling from there to Onehunga, Henderson and Parakai. Travelling 200-300 KM daily. In your daily role you will need to carry out the following duties. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel receipts • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures • Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions • Collect and verify delivery instructions and any paperwork • Report defects, accidents or traffic violations • Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refueling the plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs • Follow all SOP policies that you signed off at your induction • Check ROC, COF and registration weekly • Set up traffic management around your site at all times. Safety barriers and safety cones will be carried on your truck at all times
Job Requirements
Must hold NZ Class 5 driving license or equivalent overseas license Able to operate an 18-gear Caterpillar Road Ranger manual tipper truck with trailer Must pass a drug test and MOJ check.

- Start work at 4.00am and finish by 4.00pm. Half day Saturdays occasionally from April 2025 (35 hours per week)
