Storeperson

As a Storeman, you’ll be a key player in maintaining a safe, efficient, and organised working environment. You’ll be entrusted with keeping the workspace tidy and hazard-free, promptly reporting any unsafe equipment, workplace hazards, or suspicious behaviour to ensure the well-being of the entire team. Your ability to spot issues and act quickly will help ensure everything runs smoothly, from following equipment certification guidelines to ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn correctly.

Your role will include a variety of tasks, such as assisting with box erecting, product manufacturing, and supporting the operation of box erecting machines. You'll also help with moving, sorting, and storing pallets and products, while ensuring everything is properly stacked and organised within our large warehouse. When it comes to loading and unloading products, you’ll be hands-on, operating a forklift with skill and care to move materials quickly and safely.

Additionally, you will be involved in rework, repacking, and repalletising products, as well as performing regular stocktakes to track inventory. Your ability to use a computer for processing paperwork will also be crucial to keeping everything on track. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining cleanliness across all areas, including the warehouse, office, and yard, and you’ll assist with truck washing when needed.

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with your team, and it’s important to collaborate effectively and efficiently to meet the day-to-day demands. By following all company safety and operational guidelines, you will contribute to a smooth-running operation that prioritises safety and efficiency.

On occasion, you’ll be asked to pitch in with other tasks around the store or yard, assisting with general site maintenance to ensure everything stays in top shape.

The successful candidate must have the following; • An “F” endorsement on your driver’s license, • A valid OSH certificate, • 2+ years’ experience operating forklifts, • Be computer literate, • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. • Confident completing the duties outlined in the job description.
