To oversee the delivery of efficient, high-quality restaurant service by:

• Opening and/or closing the kitchen for service • Completing all paperwork accurately, legibly, clearly, and with integrity • Ordering of food supplies and cooking equipment • Honoring special food requests, both specific and nonspecific to food allergies • Preparation and cooking of food • Plating dishes • Complete ordering in a timely fashion • Designing, planning, and pricing menu items • Monitoring and controlling labour cost • Maintaining Sickness and Accident roster • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements. Promote our clean-as-you-go policy • Abiding by all legal requirements, food hygiene regulations, and food safety laws. Working to the regulatory Food Control Plan set by WCC • Sole charge of kitchen during off peak times • Completion of Monthly Cleaning Schedule • Cost reporting and tracking of supplies • Wastage reporting and monitoring • Maintain open communication/relationships with management • Educate the team regarding Menu Items/Allergen information/specials • Completion of any additional reasonable request from the customer/manager • Adhere at all times to The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 • Ensuring all team members maintain a professional, safe, and hygienic demeanor and appearance on duty • Proactively monitor and deliver KPIs, food and labor costs and sales goals • Actively inspire/train the team to engage positively with customers and help them enjoy their experience at all times • Ensure effective communication between the team • Maintain positive morale within the team, and functioning relationships with all team members • Active involvement in preventing working environment hazards and accidents at work, following accidents, first aid, and emergency procedures • Monitor stock, and maintain functioning levels to minimize waste whilst not running out • Complete monthly stock takes with integrity • Attend meetings and training sessions as required • Complete shift debriefs, monitor and action items resulting from lower management debrief • Report all noncompliance to Mama Brown Policies and Procedures by team members. Correcting team members as and when they do not comply • Facilitate daily handover meetings with incoming duty managers and the head chef • Ensure and prompt the team to maintain adherence to all Mama Brown policies and procedures • Oversee Online, Uber, and Doordash orders being accepted, processed, packaged, and completed accurately • Securing the premises when you are the last to leave • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily performance of the team • Assist the Head Chef with Staff Recruitment Screening & Evaluation and training • Maintain training records for each individual team member

Job Requirements

This is not an entry-level position. Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is required.
