Our company repairs and installs home appliances. We also hold parts in our warehouse for technicians around New Zealand to use. In the role of Store Person, you will be a vital part of our team, leading the warehouse administration tasks. This will be in addition to other office-based tasks to assist with administrative and customer service support. While much of the job will be computer-based, there will be physical work around the warehouse including moving or stripping parts from appliances. This position demands an individual who is reliable, careful and thorough, as well as being a team member. Key Responsibilities • Parts management: processing orders, picking parts from the warehouse, packing and labelling for delivery, managing the courier, updating the database, sending notifications • Goods receiving: receiving deliveries, inspecting and signing for goods, storing goods in warehouse, updating database, sending notifications • T2 Appliances: receiving deliveries, placing in warehouse, updating database, creating & sending reports/emails, assisting with assessment and repair of appliances, disposal • General warehouse management: ensuring warehouse items are catalogued correctly, warehouse is safe and tidy, stock is clearly identifiable, movement of stock is done safely and efficiently • Data processing: other computer-based tasks in our office as required, working in a team, helping to process jobs in our software and email systems, making/receiving calls. • Accuracy: High level of accuracy and focus on detail in all work. • Reliability: Dependable for attendance at work, following orders, consistent undertaking of tasks while working without supervision • Efficient: completes tasks rapidly, self-manages priorities, looks for other work requiring attention • Physically capable: Comfortable with moving appliances on trolleys or by hand, taking parts from an appliance, using a pallet stacker around the warehouse. • Autonomy and Teamwork: Capable of working effectively both independently with little supervision and as part of a team. • Prioritisation: Able to prioritise tasks and stick to set deadlines. • Problem-Solving: Robust problem-solving abilities with experience of knowing when to ask for help • Communication Skills: Confident in both verbal and written communication, paired with good interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements
Technical Proficiency : Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer usage. Accuracy : High level of accuracy and focus on detail in all work Reliability: Dependable for attendance at work, following orders, consistent undertaking of tasks while working without supervision. Efficient : Completes tasks rapidly, self-manages priorities, looks for other work requiring attention. Autonomy and Teamwork: Capable of working efficiently both independently with little supervision and collaboratively as part of a team. Structured Approach: A methodical and structured approach to tasks and responsibilities. Problem-Solving : Robust problem-solving abilities with a talent for quick and effective decision-making under pressure. Communication Skills: Confident in both verbal and written communication, paired with good interpersonal skills. Someone physically capable for moving appliances (although not really heavy lifting), but the job is more time in the office at the computer than in the warehouse. Competent and fast on a computer, capable of mild physical work, and has an attention to detail.
