Horticultural Supervisor
About this job
We're looking for a skilled supervisor to tend to human resources and overall day to day operations of the business. As we are mainly in the horticulture sector, having knowledge about plants or similar is preferred. Tasks and Duties: • Train and supervise team members, • promoting teamwork and creating work environment, • providing feedback to manager about performance of workers and developing new ideas when necessary, • conduct meeting with all the workers to increase productivity when necessary, • understanding labour costs and time management of work, • maintaining timesheets for staff rosters and continues training staff on orchard pruning, • maintaining records of staff, equipment and work completed, • ensures business compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, • assigns work and monitoring work performance of staff. • ensure procedures are in safe place for checking pests and diseases and to ensure training staff for insect identification and in use of safety measures,
Rostered working hours: Monday to Saturday 7am - 5pm, Will including Sunday work depending on demand. 40+ Hours per week
Location of work: Puni, Pukekohe, Auckland.

Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience in a staff management position, Knowledge about plants or similar is preferred. Full Class 1 Drivers Licence. *Due to the location of employment, Applicants will need to have own reliable transport.
