Butcher

This Normanby Butcher is looking for a butcher to join the team. The role involves:

Breaking down and boning carcasses Slicing and cutting all meat including rolling roasts Packing meat Preparing a variety of meats to the highest standard Assisting customers with product selection and providing recommendations Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations Collaborating with the team to maintain an efficient and organized workflow It is expected, that all members assist on all aspects from preparing orders to customers specifications to ensuring a clean equipment and work areas. All personal are to be able to work in both areas of home kill and retail. It is expected that everyone supports each other to complete orders in both areas.

1. Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and the ability to accurately and efficiently prepare them. 2. Exceptional knife skills and the ability to use various cutting and grinding equipment safely. 3. Excellent attention to detail to ensure the quality and presentation of meat products. 4. Strong customer service and communication skills to effectively assist customers and provide recommendations. 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. 6. Basic math skills for weighing and pricing meat products accurately. 8. Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods, lift heavy meat products, and perform repetitive tasks. 9. Working collaboratively within a team environment
