Vehicle Maintenance Lead

About the Role

As the lead of our Motorhome Handyman Crew you will take ownership of preparing our vehicles for rental and providing technical advice and assistance to customers and the Rental team to ensure that we prepare and present all recreational vehicles (new and used) to exceed customer service standards.

Lead the team in inspecting vehicles after each hire, or pre-sale, for damage, safety standards, and identify required repairs.

Prepare Campervans and Motorhomes for rental or sale in accordance with company standards. Carry out general vehicle repairs and maintenance, both directly and through specialist contractors. Provide relevant vehicle information to other staff or customers if and when required. Ideally you should possess the following qualifications, skills and experiences. Some practical experience in an automotive repair and maintenance role,or other relevant experience in coach building/motor body repairs, caravan repairs. Skill or knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, cabinet making, boat building, shop fitting. 240V electrical, gas fitting and boat building would be an advantage. An open D/L and good driving record. Good attention to detail. The ability to lead a team and a positive can do attitude. Sound understanding of technical use of power tools, Relative mechanical or automotive aptitude, Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure, Comfortable with following processes and procedures, High standards of housekeeping throughout the workshop.
