About this job
Do you have experience cooking asian food? A local employer is seeking a cook to work full-time 30 hours a week and the hours will be over 5-6 days on a roster from 11am until 9.30pm. Knowledge in cooking laksa, tom yum soup, tender beef with oyster sauce, fried rice, egg fu yeong, chow mein is necessary. Duties also include the preparation and cooking of various dishes, setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, studying each recipe to gather all the necessary ingredients, prepare, measure and weight ingredients, managing portion sizes in the prescribed manner and control waste. You will also must ensure preparation is done on time, ensuring that cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety standards in the kitchen are to the highest standards.
Job Requirements
Must have previous experience cooking asian food in a hospitality environment.
