Social Worker
About this job
We are looking for a Registered Social Worker to highlight and fight injustice, inequalities and systems that create barriers to a person's full participation in life. Key tasks will be to:
• Show aroha/compassion, and manaakitanga/care for people • Easily build whanaungatanga/authentic relationships with people accessing services and with community partners • Listen, and affirm people in such as way that they are encouraged to create solutions to the situations that are impacting them • Refer to internal and external services that will support achieving goals and aspirations • Maintain best practice standards of engagement, case management and administration.
Job Requirements
• Holds a recognised Social Work qualification and NZ registration and practicing certificate. • Have proven social work experience (3-5years) working with hard-to-reach community groups. • Has experience supporting whanau experiencing Family Harm. • Maintains a high level of professional practice, recognising the dignity, and individuality of clients. • A proactive solution focused approach using maturity and empathy in problem solving and reduction of barriers to achieving outcomes. • Can pass Ministry of Justice Check • Can pass pre-employment drug test. • Has clean and full Class 1 Driver's License.
