SMT Operator

This local electronics manufacturer is looking for an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking manufacturing tasks within the SMT departments. Tasks include (but are not limited to):

*Undertaking necessary manufacturing tasks using SMT equipment as per work instructions to ensure products are built to customer specifications. *Preparing, setting up and operating all necessary SMT production equipment to undertake the manufacturing and construction of printed circuit board assemblies. Installing and loading necessary software files, and undertaking error checking processes. *Undertaking necessary production testing on printed circuit board assemblies to verify product specifications against engineering drawings such as component orientations. *Communicating with Production leaders and engineering teams regarding improvements to process and product. *Continuously reviewing equipment performance and production quality levels and making necessary adjustments. *Assist in all other areas of manufacturing as required to ensure customer satisfaction and department objectives are met.

Their job is to review production data, setup and operate the SMT manufacturing equipment and undertake analysis of product quality and process efficiency to ensure the production lines achieve their objectives.

Ideally 2 years experience in a similar role, however training will be provided for the right person Experience in electronics manufacturing experience preferred Computer literacy a must Strong teamwork and communication skills An eye for detail
