Dairy Farm Assistant - REPOROA

Want to get outdoors? looking for someone with some farming experience, don't have to have years of experience, but know your way around the farm! Key Responsibilities: • Assist with feed planning and management. • Manage weeds and pests effectively. • Apply fertiliser and implement irrigation requirements as needed. • Oversee all aspects of the milking process, ensuring plant hygiene and low somatic cell counts. • Operate and maintain the effluent system in compliance with regional council requirements and employer standards, keeping all relevant records updated. • Implement animal health programs and assist with calving, wintering, and calf-rearing to ensure minimal losses and quality replacements for the herd. • Maintain accurate herd records and report any unwell animals promptly. • Contribute to the Farm Business Plan alongside the Dairy Farm Manager. • Assist in managing the repair and maintenance schedule for all plant, machinery, and infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For: • A motivated and reliable individual. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Experience in dairy farm operations is preferred but not essential. • Physically capable of performing farm orientated tasks. • Must be able to pass a drug test. • Must have a clean criminal record.
