Catering Manager/Team Leader

A Wellington food service provider to the education sector. Is looking for a Catering Manager/Team Leader for a local college to join their team. That has a passion to empower every learner to reach their potential through nutrition-focused, food service solutions.

Day to day duties include: • Leading a team of 1 Service Assistant and 2 x students • Preparation and assembly of a high volume of meals • Following Health and Safety and Food Control procedures • Some record keeping and reporting (training provided) • Catering for School Board dinners and other medium/large gatherings on a fortnightly/monthly basis occurs

• Previous foodservice experience • Previous catering experience for large groups • Ability to lift up to 10kg and to work in standing position for long hours. • A passion for customer service excellence, leading people with empathy, ability to follow processes, and use technology such as apps and technology on our site tablets. • You'll enjoy problem solving, have a flexible approach and see the value in training and upskilling. • You must be eligible to work in NZ having NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work permit. • You must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check, along with a Police Vetting / Vulnerable Children’s Check. • You must also provide two forms of identification.
