Join us as our Food Services Team Leader, where you’ll manage a dedicated kitchen team, delivering tasty, nutritious meals that bring our residents together and create a warm, community-centered dining experience at a Retirement Home based in Johnsonville.

In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of Cashmere Home’s kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals that meet diverse dietary requirements. Working Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, you’ll enjoy a great work-life balance without the long or anti-social hours often found in hospitality.

Job Requirements

Key responsibilities include: • Preparing and cooking meals that delight our residents. • Leading and coordinating a team of Weekend Cooks and Kitchen Hands. • Managing resources, budgeting effectively, and reducing food wastage. • Upholding food safety regulations and maintaining hygiene standards. • Collaborating on special events and celebrations to create memorable dining experiences.

About You You’re a calm, well-organized professional with a passion for providing quality meals in a supportive environment. With strong leadership skills and the ability to cater for a variety of dietary needs, you’ll take pride in creating meals that make a difference in the lives of our elders.

Key requirements include: • Work experience in a similar role. • Leadership experience in a hospitality environment. • Ability to cater for diverse dietary needs, including modified meals. • A full driver’s license to deliver meals to our sister site, Cashmere Heights. • Ability to drive manual work van (training can be provided to learn how to drive manual). • Flexibility to accommodate special events and celebrations. • Can pass all pre-employment checks (MOJ and Police)
