Patuharakeke Trust Board is thrilled to announce an exciting Career Pathways Internship in collaboration with Marsden Maritime Holdings and Channel Infrastructure.
This unique internship is designed to empower a talented and motivated individual from Patuharakeke who has demonstrated potential and commitment but is still exploring their career aspirations.

Gain hands-on experience in various career pathways to discover what inspires you. Work across three key organisations—Channel Infrastructure, Marsden Maritime Holdings, and Patuharakeke. Access career mentors who will guide your professional growth.
Internship Details:
Duration: One year
Choose up to five career pathways to explore (Engineering, Trades, Marine + Operations, Finance + Administration, Sciences) Spend an equal amount of time across Channel Infrastructure, Marsden Maritime Holdings, and Patuharakeke. Flexibility to shift pathways during the internship after regular reviews. Minimum of three months in each selected option.
There is no guarantee of ongoing employment post-internship, but this experience will set you up for future success. Applications Close January 17th, 2025

Personal Qualities:
- Motivated, show potential and eager to explore their career options, with a drive to succeed. - Self-learner with a positive and proactive attitude.
Selection Criteria: - Rangatahi - be a direct descendant of the Patuharakeke Hapu and be registered on the Patuharakeke Te Iwi Trust Board beneficiary register https://app.patuharakeke.maori.nz/register/ - Demonstrates cultural competency (e.g., can share their pepeha). - Completed and achieved NCEA Level 2. - Proven computer literacy. - Shows aptitude or interest in preferred pathway(s). - Active involvement in extra-curricular activities (e.g., sports, arts, or community work).
