We are looking for a proactive and dedicated individual to join our team as a Scrap Metal Collection Specialist. This role is vital in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional collection of scrap metals from a wide range of customers. You’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, who thrives in a team-oriented atmosphere and is willing to roll up their sleeves and “get their hands dirty” when necessary!
Additional Tasks May Include: Forklift operation and yard management General laboring and housekeeping duties Contributing to ongoing yard developments and improving operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities: Customer Service Excellence: Efficient Metal Collection: Safely and effectively collect scrap metals from various customer locations. Driving & Operations: Operate vehicles (Class 2 License required), forklifts, and scale systems to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintenance & Compliance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, follow safety procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Teamwork: Support the team by showing up every day with a positive attitude and a readiness to take on additional tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills: Class 2 License with Dangerous Goods Endorsement BOUNS if you have (F) endorsement Demonstrated experience in practical and physical work Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities effectively Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus Capable of working unsupervised and staying on task Honest, ethical, and transparent with a commitment to confidentiality A positive attitude and team spirit Must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to provide a police check Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain focus throughout the day
