Cook

In this busy Kebab and Coffee House, you will:

• Prepare, marinate, and cook a variety of kebabs, including shish kebabs, doner kebabs, and other regional specialties • Prepare traditional Turkish dessert baklava, including preparing syrup, pastry and mixed nuts, assembling and baking • Prepare kebab salads, including washing, cutting, measuring, and mixing the ingredients • Inspect ingredients daily to ensure freshness, quality, and safety standards are met • Set up and operate kebab equipment, including rotisseries and ovens, ensuring proper function and temperature control • Portion and plate kebabs to preserve authentic flavors and ensure appealing presentation • Manage inventory and coordinate with management for ingredient sourcing to maintain freshness and quality • Collaborate with management to expand desserts menu/seasonal offerings

• 1 year of experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen, or any high school/college degree with decent cooking skills • Ideally, have experience with cooking techniques required to prepare kebabs and Turkish desserts, and possess knowledge of various kebab and Turkish desserts styles • Ability to perform well under pressure and remain calm in a busy environment • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed • Excellent organizational skills, including time management and multitasking • Ability to maintain consistency in preparation and ensure high-quality output • Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members • Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check.
