Baker's Assistant

We are a "from scratch" multi award winning bread factory in the Horowhenua area producing bread and other yeasted products for both the retail and wholesale market.

This role involves the all aspects of the production cycle. All training will be provided.

We are looking for an energetic person who possesses a high degree of self-motivation.

The successful applicant will have the desire to excel, the ability to use their initiative, drive and the enthusiasm to maintain a high standard.

The successful applicant will have a fast and efficient working style with a high attention to detail. They will possess a ‘can do’ attitude with a strong work ethic and the ability to persevere in challenging times. They will be honest and reliable with good attendance records and possess good communication skills and food safety awareness.

The successful applicant will be positive, responsible, accountable and committed to learning and growing with the position. They must be able to work well in a team environment, on their own and be physically fit to lift 25 kilos.

Flexibility is a prerequisite for this role with hours averaging between 35 - 40 + hours per week. 8am starts. The applicant will be able to work weekends, and overtime when required.

You must be a New Zealand resident with good literacy and numerical skills.
