About this job
Local employer seeking a Duty/Bar manager to join their team of a part-time basis. The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily bar operations, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, and maintaining communication with local authorities. Key duties include:
Bar Operations: Managing drink preparation, stock levels, and ordering supplies while minimizing waste. Developing the drinks menu to align with the venue's vibe.
Customer Experience: Ensuring exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, bookings, complaints, and maintaining cleanliness in karaoke rooms and public areas.
Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising bar and service staff, creating rosters, and fostering a positive team culture.
Duty Manager Responsibilities: Acting as the on-site manager, ensuring health and safety, food handling, and licensing compliance, while maintaining a secure environment.
Business Growth & Reporting: Collaborating on promotions, events, and marketing initiatives, and monitoring sales, staff performance, and customer feedback to support business growth.
Job Requirements
• Qualifications (mandatory): A current LCQ (License Controller Qualification) and current Hastings District Council Manager's Certificate • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar bar, hospitality, or duty manager role. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team. • Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service. • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and karaoke equipment is a plus. • Must pass a police check.
