Dairy Farm Assistant (Mangakino)

Read below The key tasks include: 1) Ability to run the milking shed, set the shed for milking, retrieve cows and milk the herd, assist with wash down of yard and plant. Ensure milking and washdown are completed efficiently. 2) Assisting in the milking process, ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed. 3) Animal health – Helping identify cows with mastitis and lameness. With the guidance of the Farm Manager help with treatments on animals. 4) General farm duties – Assist with day-to-day farm operation duties, setting break fences, spraying weeds, general repairs and maintenance. 5) Future professional growth – The company offers staff the opportunity to learn outside of their core role.
