About this job
JOB DESCRIPTION: + Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site + Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders) + Use power tools and machinery if required + Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks such as digging, stacking up goods + Put up warning signs on work sites + Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding) + Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions + Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
Other Skills; + Attention to detail + Excellent hand-eye coordination + Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time + Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads)
This role requires you travel outside of Wellington to work for short periods of time. Travel and accommodation is paid for by the company.
