• Are you effective and confident at engaging and motivating young people and adults who have not previously had success with learning?

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of end-to-end rehabilitation and reintegration functions.

You will also be supporting a variety of education programmes and activities offered to the women we manage. You will play a significant role in encouraging learners to improve their literacy and numeracy skills, work towards achieving New Zealand qualifications and to acquire job search skills.

• Experience assessing and working with young people and adults who have not previously experienced education success • Familiarity with e-learning environments and supporting learners to use them • A good understanding of assessing learning needs and developing individual learning pathway plans. • Previously worked in a Kaupapa Maori or Pasifika environment • A tertiary qualification and/or a qualification in Adult Education • Experience working with offenders in a prison environment (not essential) • Demonstrated competency in using computer applications including Microsoft Office suite, TEC Literacy and Numeracy Adult Assessment Tools • Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework • Experience with embedding literacy and numeracy • Experience successfully engaging Maori, Pasifika, and at-risk youth in education • Exceptional communication and organisational skills with the ability to influence, inspire and motivate
