Due to a valuable team member who moved on, we are seeking a Farm Assistant at Lochiel. The shed is a 36 a/s herringbone milking 520 cows. You will be joining our team of 3 people. Some experience is preferred but not essential. This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours and a maximum of 50 hours of work per week. You will be paid an hourly rate of $29.66. As a Farm Assistant, you are expected to work alongside the Farm Manager and other staff in: milk harvesting, maintaining the cleanliness of the sheds, operating and maintenance of the effluent system, monitoring pasture, crop and supplement management, monitoring stock feed, diagnosing animal ailments and conducting treatment, and assisting in the erection and maintenance of fencing. To be considered for the role, you must have a full driving licence and must pass both police and drug tests. Shared accommodation is available.
