Machine Operator

-Operate and maneuver machinery such as rollers, excavators, graders, and loaders. -Prepare and level road surfaces, ensuring proper compaction and adherence to project specifications. -Load, transport, and spread materials like gravel, asphalt, and soil using appropriate equipment. -Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe operation of machinery in high-risk environments. -Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on machinery, including greasing, refueling, and minor repairs. -Assist with tasks like kerb and channel installation, trenching, and drainage systems as required. -Work alongside construction crews to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results. . -Adapt to various terrains, weather conditions, and operational challenges while maintaining efficiency and safety.

-Hold a current NZ drivers’ licence, WTR endorsements (ideally Class 2 / 4, training can be provided to the right candidate) -3+ years’ experience operating a range of machines in civil construction from excavators, rollers, grader and small to medium trucks -Work in a productive and safe manner -Must be able to pass a police check -Good attitude to the care and maintenance of machinery -Physically fit -Able to work unsupervised but also be a proactive team member -Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety -Good communication skills -Positive can-do attitude
