Japanese Ramen Cook

Botany based employer is looking for Japanese Ramen Cooks to join their team. The ideal candidates must be reliable, responsible and punctual. The duties are: - Preparing fresh ingredients for Japanese ramen and other dishes - Ensuring all restaurant Japanese cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met - Controlling the temperatures, seasonings and flavours are to specification - Ensuring the quality of food and the size of food proportions - Ensures that all food is attractively presented at all times - Prepares and cook Japanese food to meet special dietary requirements - Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet restaurant and statutory Health and Safety requirements - Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu - Maintaining a strict level of hygiene in the kitchen workstations - Additional duties and responsibilities related to the job may be assigned as required

Must have at least 6 months’ relevant work experience in cookery, Japanese cuisine is desirable, or a level 4 or above relevant qualification in cookery/hospitality is required Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime Must be flexible to work lunch and dinner shifts and be able to manage two shifts in a day Be able to pass a police check
