Excavator Operator
About this job
Duties include using equipment and tools effectively to perform required tasks. Remove dirt from the building area. Unload excavator in the appropriate area. Coordinate with other workers to determine dig sites. Conduct routine maintenance on your equipment. Manoeuvring motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials. Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment. Observing stipulated safety codes at all times. Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed. Reporting injuries and other accidents to the Manager. Advising the Manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements. Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift. Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year work experience in heavy vehicle driving or digging or excavating or operating heavy machinery or mining or farming machinery. Class 2 with W,T,R preferred. Must pass a drug test and MOJ check.
- Days of work
- Monday to Saturday. Must be available Saturdays, especially in the summer. (40 hours per week)
