Seed Processing Machinist

We are a privately owned seed processing and retailing company based in Methven, who provides a complete seed processing service to arable farmers.

We are looking for new staff members to join our enthusiastic Team.

The role involves: Set up and operation of seed cleaning equipment to a safe and high standard,. Assisting with seed intake.Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy,. Cleaning down of equipment. Operating forklift. Packaging seed,. Assisting other colleagues when necessary,. Accurate record keeping of seed lines,. Carefully monitors the detail and quality of own work. Able to plan, organise and schedule workload,. Able to demonstrate initiative in addressing problems as they arise,. Contributes to an inclusive working environment where differences are acknowledged and respected. Must be willing to spend the time necessary to achieve and maintain a high level of technical proficiency,. Ability to work under pressure and within a continual changing environment,. Accepts responsibility for their own work activities and behaviour,. Ability to show appropriate initiative and to know when to refer matters to a higher level.

1 year of work experience operating: Clipper 29Ds, Scalper, Cimbria Delta, Q-sage and Oliver gravity table,experience required or Level 2 or Level 3 relevant qualification, and experience cleaning down this equipment.

Must provide the latest police and medical certificate, must provide recent drug test result, did not claim from ACC for the last 3 years, must have a full and clean driver's license
