Disability Support Worker

Do you enjoy helping others and have great mana for people. A renowned employer based in Taupo is looking for a part time Disability Support Worker to join their supportive team. Your daily responsibilities include but not limited to: Support the individual to achieve their personal plans. Promote an environment that encourages the individual to feel safe and comfortable. Encourage the individual to grow and increase their independence by supporting them to learn skills for daily living and to make decisions and choices.

• Must be local with permanent resident and/ or full working visa. • Employer will consider no experience but they must have passion for working together with people with disability . • Qualification in Health and Wellbeing or willing to obtain is a plus. Employer will consider without certification for the right candidate. • Passionate to work with people with a disability. • Computer literacy. • Valid FULL driver’s license is essential with own car with valid insurance. • Valid first aid certificate or willing to obtain. • Someone who is flexible, reliable, a good team player and who can think outside the box. • Willingness to undergo a criminal check and Oranga Tamariki check.
