In the Kawatiri/Westport communities; He Hikoi Manaaki Kaiawhina will provide; flexible wellbeing support, education, information, and advocacy for tangata whaiora and their whanau. Focuses on prevention and intervention and is underpinned by Te Whare Tapa Wha. Whanau will experience a seamless holistic service that provides individuals and their whanau with support, treatment, rehabilitation and/or recovery as appropriate. The Service is provided to whanau at the place they prefer and will be flexible in its hours to allow contact with family and whanau who work during the day. The Service will enhance the ability of whanau to support a person who has, or may be developing, a major mental illness or addiction
Job Requirements
You would need: Relevant tertiary qualification; Experience using Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, teams, outlook, files); Experience using Adobe; Clearance under the provisions of the Vulnerable Children’s Act (2014); Commitment to working effectively with Maori, Pacific, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable: Fluency in Te Reo Maori ; Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
