Cabinet Maker/Joiner

A well-established, accredited employer specialising in carpentry, cabinetry, and joinery is looking for a Skilled Cabinet Maker/Joiner. Our projects range from high-quality bathroom and kitchen cabinets to full commercial fit-outs. As we expand, we're also taking on more work in aluminium joinery, plumbing, and glass installation. Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Cabinet Maker/Joiner to bring expertise and a proactive approach to our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cabinet making and joinery and be motivated to tackle a variety of projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on precision and has a strong commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities • Interpret and follow detailed drawings, specifications, and work orders • Select and work with a variety of materials including timber, veneers, engineered woods, and more • Operate and program computer-aided design (CAD) and CNC machinery to cut and shape components accurately • Construct cabinetry and furniture with attention to fine detail, ensuring a high-quality finish • Install cabinetry in residential and commercial spaces, including kitchens and bathrooms • Create custom fittings for boats, caravans, and other specialized applications • Apply protective coatings, and fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, and other hardware • Assemble frames for chairs, couches, and other furniture as required • (Optional) Utilize skills in glass replacement to support our growing demand in this area

• A minimum of three years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker/Joiner preferrable and/or an NZQF Level 4 Certificate in Joinery with a focus in Cabinetry • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Reliable and customer-focused with excellent communication skills • Ability to follow established systems and processes under pressure • Physically fit, with the strength to handle lifting and assembly tasks • Team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humor • (Bonus) Experience in glass replacement is a valuable asset as we expand into this area
