If you are a self-starting, highly motivated analytical practitioner who thrives on delivering quality outputs to inform understanding of risk and deployment of operational resources, then this opportunity could be for you.

The task: Develop and deliver high quality risk assessments for each of the 22 sectors supervised by the AML/CFT Group at the Department of Internal Affairs. These assessments are to be completed within a fixed term period of 12 months. Each assessment must be: • Completed to a high standard, using robust risk assessment methodology • Have involved sound stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally • Utilise multiple sources of data and information, to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the sector • Well written, with style and content accessible to a range of audiences (internal and external) • Have been soundly peer reviewed (internally and externally) prior to completion

Job Requirements

The experience, knowledge, and skills you will bring to this position will be:

• Excellent analytical skills, providing insightful intelligence/risk assessments, and a problem-solving approach and robust judgement. • Extensive project management and self-starting skills, with the ability to deliver quality outputs within tight timeframes. • Proven ability to deliver quality written reports, that meet the requirements of a range of audiences. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships across a diverse stakeholder base. • Knowledge of AML/CFT/financial crime risk/intelligence would be a strong advantage; however, this is not essential.
