Night Manager
About this job
The Night Manager co-ordinates and oversees the running of the hotel in the absence of Executive Management. During hours where executive management is present, the Duty Manager forms part of the Front Office Department.

Night Manager Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Support and actively cultivate an environment of positive service within the department to ultimately achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and team members - Provide feedback and practical suggestions on how to increase team morale, team development, team retention and service levels in order to ultimately achieve overall better results. - Clean and maintain all public areas thoroughly each night. - Prepare and effectively communicate a detailed handover to the morning shift. - Check guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with the established Hotel procedural guidelines. Book, update, amend and/or cancel reservations accurately and according to the Hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures. - Be a brand ambassador for the hotel as well as Event Hospitality & Entertainment. - Give assistance and support to other departments and/or colleagues when needed. - Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, training and development programme.

Job Requirements
Training provided over the course of 3 - 4 weeks. - Must have an up to date CV and Cover Letter. - Working knowledge of Opera PMS. - Previous experience as Night Manager. - Competent with Microsoft Office Suite. - Customer service focused. - Well presented. - Great time management and attention to detail. - Good knowledge of Wellington experiences and attractions. - Full NZ Driver's License - Class 1. - NZ Manager's Certificate. - Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ). - Valid work visa.
