Hotel Duty Manager

The Hotel Duty Manager co-ordinates and oversees the running of the hotel in the absence of Executive Management. During hours where executive management is present, the Duty Manager forms part of the Front Office Department.

- To ensure all Liquor Licensing Laws are observed and complied with by all staff for the hotel’s Licensing Regulation requirements. - Accurately identify any discrepancy between revenue and payments. - Complete the night audit report thoroughly and accurately, ensuring the necessary documentation exists to support all accounting functions in the hotel. - Provide feedback and practical suggestions on how to decrease mistakes and increase productivity to ultimately achieve overall better results. - Have full working knowledge of the hotel’s computer/IT systems. - Follow and enforce the hotel policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure compliance, safety and profitability. - Handle, record and report all incidents which have occurred in the hotel. These incidents can either affect an employee, third party, event based incidents or evacuation of the hotel.

Job Requirements
Training provided over the course of 3 - 4 weeks. - Must have an up to date CV and Cover Letter. - Working knowledge of Opera PMS. - Previous experience as Night Manager. - Competent with Microsoft Office Suite. - Customer service focused. - Well presented. - Great time management and attention to detail. - Good knowledge of Wellington experiences and attractions. - Full NZ Driver's License - Class 1. - NZ Manager's Certificate. - Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ). - Valid work visa.

- Flexibility with rotational roster over 7 days working AM, PM and Overnight shifts where required. (40 hours per week)
