Biosecurity Passenger Facilitator

We have opportunities for Biosecurity Passenger Facilitators (Hosts) to join our team on a part time, fixed term basis over the busy summer period at our international airports. You will work as part of the team in the biosecurity-controlled area (BCA) in the international arrivals area to support the team of quarantine officers who undertake biosecurity clearance of passengers.
This includes welcoming passengers, helping them go to the right processing queues, sharing biosecurity messages, supporting at the inspection benches, and assisting with other duties to help the team. You will proactively engage with passengers (including families with children) to create a positive, friendly, and welcoming experience on arrival to the biosecurity area, raise awareness of biosecurity risks, provide guidance and wayfinding to passengers at arrivals and departures, share ‘Declare and Dispose' messages with fliers on different biosecurity risks and assist the biosecurity staff with operational requirements, especially during peak period and/or disruptions. This will include baggage and inspection bench support, amnesty bin collection and travel declaration card collection.
Job Requirements
We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and confident people with the ability to proactively engage with passengers. Must be a proactive team player, flexible and adaptable. Fluency in another language is advantageous.
As this role is a ‘safety sensitive role', the preferred candidates will be required to undertake a satisfactory pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Min age 18years.

- A range of shift times across the airport operating hours – you will have two consecutive days off in a row each week. (15 hours per week)
