Beans n Bites Cafe in Whangaparaoa are looking for a reliable and hardworking kitchenhand to join their busy team.

Primary Responsibilities: • Preparing vegetables, basic food items, and dishes such as sandwiches, dumplings and Chinese-style noodles • Assisting in the preparation of traditional Chinese snacks like dumplings and buns. • Cleaning food preparation equipment, utensils, and work areas. • Washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers. • Disposing of rubbish and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations in food preparation areas.

Additional Responsibilities: • Assisting with coffee and beverage preparation. • Taking customer orders and serving food and drinks • Handling payments and providing customer service at the front counter. • Supporting the team in maintaining the overall organization of the cafe.

• Minimum of one year’s experience working in a cafe or restaurant. • Knowledge or experience in preparing dumplings and Chinese-style noodles. • Ability to consistently prepare coffee and familiarity with beverage preparation. • Proficiency in making cakes and sandwiches • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. • Strong commitment to following safety and hygiene procedures.
