Senior Aluminium Fabricator

A New Lynn based employer specializing in the manufacturing and installation of windows and doors is seeking a Senior Aluminium Fabricator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate machines and power tools to cut aluminium materials for window and door frames. • Fabricate and assemble aluminium windows and doors according to drawing plans. • Glaze windows. • Install aluminium windows and doors on-site. • Read and interpret basic technical drawings. • Lead and supervise a team of fabricators and glaziers, ensuring quality standards are met. • Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Proven experience in aluminium fabrication or glazing, specifically with aluminium windows and doors. • Candidates with 5 years building experience are welcome to apply, preferably with handyman and building skills • Leadership abilities and experience managing a team. • Strong understanding of technical drawings. • Attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills. • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations. • Physical resilience to handle materials and tasks effectively. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Reliable with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. • Fluent in English and Chinese preferred due to the client base however employer will overlook the language requirement for candidates who are honest, easy-going and willing to learn. • Non-smoker as role involves working on residential properties • Hold a full Class 1 driver licence with a reliable transport, a company vehicle will be provided to travel to job sites • Willingness to work in weather-dependent conditions; factory work may be available if it rains. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check with a criminal record.
