About this job

Manukau based Funeral Home in need for an Accounts Administrator. Ideal candidate will be responsible for encompassing, reviewing and reconciling accounts, and taking up tasks related to bookkeeping. You will also have to process payments to external parties and maintain updated records of invoices. In addition to this, you will have to assist Funeral Directors and colleagues time and again with funeral required services.

The successful applicant will need:

• Proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounting or similar role • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures • Accuracy in Data entry for receivables and payables • Prepare and send invoices on time to clients to update them about balance payments. • Experience in reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external parties and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. • Update internal accounting database and spreadsheets. • Ability to work in a team as well as individually • Assist Funeral Director and colleagues to organise and coordinate all aspects of funeral services • Provide empathy and caring support and advice to families and friends of the deceased. • Good organizational and time management abilities. • Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills

Job Requirements

Applicants must also have:

• Diploma in Business Management/ Accounting and minimum 1 year MYOB experience • A willingness to learn and undertake the required training. • A Full clean Class 1 driver licence • Have and maintain a clean Police Record • Must be flexible to work after hours and weekends, in addition to your usual working days and hours

Days of work
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday (as and when required) (30 hours per week)
