Rodney Marine has over 25 years of experience in the marine industry and specializes in the repair and servicing of all brands of outboards, including Yamaha, Evinrude, Honda, Tohatsu, Johnson, and Mercury. They offer repowering services for older engines with brand-new Yamaha Outboard Motors and also fix and repair trailers of all sizes, addressing issues such as wheel bearings, tyres, rollers, and rust repairs.
Join their dedicated team in Warkworth as a Marine Workshop Manager/Technician and play a vital role in their continued success, providing top-notch workmanship in a well-organized and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities include: • Overseeing the daily operations of the workshop in collaboration with the management team. • Performing general servicing and preventative maintenance on outboard motors. • Carrying out installations of outboard motors and accessories, as well as new boat rigging setups. • Conducting expert diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical issues. • Performing sea trials and testing to ensure optimal performance. • Adapting to complete other tasks as required by the team. • Utilizing excellent time management skills to meet deadlines. • Preparing accurate reports detailing all work completed. • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, consistently meeting and exceeding Health and Safety standards. Working collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating effective communication skills. • Presenting yourself professionally, showcasing integrity, honesty, and reliability. • Exhibiting initiative and a proactive mindset.

Job Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanics; marine experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Candidates with backgrounds in motorcycles or automotive are welcome to apply. • Hold a full clean Class 1 driver licence with a reliable transport • A positive and forward-thinking attitude, with pride in your work. • Fluent in English, with the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively. • A friendly, team-oriented demeanour coupled with a good sense of humour • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, previous convictions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Saturday, 9:00am - 12:00pm. (40 hours per week)
