We've an opportunity within our dynamic plate-cutting company specialising in a quick turnaround service for the industry at large, servicing a wide and varied range of customers with unique end products. Despatch Team Members are tasked with meeting all the Despatch requirements of Primero through using available resources in a safe, efficient and timely manner to meet customer expectations. Responsibilities: Check part quality and quantities are correct (report any missing or damaged parts immediately to the Dispatch Coordinator or Production Supervisor / Manager. Pack parts correctly on Pallets. Ensure they are packaged safely and secured with wrap (weights of each pallet should not exceed 800kg). For smaller parts, use boxes or sacks. Pack any larger parts (too big for a pallet) into bundles ensuring they are strapped/wrapped securely and have dunnage feet attached where possible so they can be handled safely. Ensure scratch-free parts have sufficient cardboard or bubble wrap protection is placed in between. Check and execute and special packaging requests from sales and/or customer (following instructions on the Works Orders) Ensure all pallets are labelled and numbered clearly with packing slip windows prior to Signing off the Works Order Take "We capture" photos of completed pallets/bundles. Fill out Works orders and sign off once jobs are packed and have been checked for correct parts, quantities and secondary process work is all finished. Place completed Works Order paperwork in correct tray. Place the completed pallets/bundles in the correct areas/zones in Despatch Be the final backstop and check that the orders are correct before being sent out & sign off packing slips correctly showing "packed by" & "checked by". Assist loading trucks for outgoing orders. Assist unloading trucks for incoming/returning Outwork jobs or Stock plate Assist customers collecting goods onsite Identify and report (to Despatch Coordinator or Shift Foreman) any parts or jobs in despatch that may have been missed or left behind Ensure Despatch areas are kept tidy (no parts or pallets in designated walkways, rubbish removed, and bins emptied) Check on packing consumable levels and report when low or running out When using Fork hoists, Use in a safe manner & be aware of your surroundings including other staff.

Job Requirements
Honesty and good attendance are a must, is reliable and pays attention to detail. A team player who is in good physical condition to cope with handling steel parts ALL DAY. Very good communicator. Is diligent and always looking for how to do things better; Fork-hoist and crane operation would be an ADVANTAGE
